The full demining of Kyiv Oblast may take from 30 to 70 years.
This was reported by Ruslan Kravchenko, the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration spokesperson.
According to him, pyrotechnic services have currently identified over 17,000 hectares of hazardous territory in the region.
At the same time, since the start of the full-scale invasion, they have been able to inspect 4,690 objects, almost 2,400 km of roads, 172 km of railway tracks and 1,504 km of power lines. During this time, almost 210,000 explosive objects have been defused.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Austria was allocating 2 million euros for the demining of Ukraine. The decision has sparked intense discussions within the country.
