Biden's son pleads guilty to tax evasion and enters into a plea deal with the investigation
Hunter will have to undergo medical treatment and give up possession of weapons

Hunter Biden, the son of US President Joe Biden, has entered into a plea deal with the Department of Justice in cases of tax evasion and illegal possession of weapons while using drugs.
Source. This was reported by the BBC.
The first case includes two episodes related to tax evasion in 2017 and 2018, all of which have already been paid off. Hunter Biden agreed to plead guilty in this case.
The second case, according to the Associated Press, concerns allegations of buying a Colt Cobra 38 special revolver while using drugs for 11 days in October 2018. Investigators believe that he lied about this when buying the gun.
The agreement concluded with the Ministry of Justice will reportedly allow Hunter Biden to avoid prosecution if he fulfills the conditions set by prosecutors: not to use drugs for two years and never own a weapon.
According to the BBC, he is expected to agree to medical treatment and observation.
The deal must be approved by a federal judge.
Joe Biden on Tuesday expressed support for his son, who agreed to plead guilty. "The President and First Lady of the United States love and support their son as he continues to rebuild his life. We will have no further comment," the White House said in a statement on June 20.
The allegations against Hunter Biden are the result of an investigation by Prosecutor David Weiss in Delaware, the home state of Democratic President Joe Biden. Weiss was appointed under previous President Donald Trump, who represents the Republican Party. President Biden's son announced in December 2020 that Prosecutor Weiss was looking into his tax affairs. At the time, he denied any wrongdoing. According to US media reports, the investigation led by David Weiss began in 2018.
