Baykar established the LLC Avia Ventures in 2019 with the intention to open two factories in Ukraine. It is expected that Baykar's Avia Ventures will be responsible for the construction of the factory where Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI UCAV will be produced.

This is reported by the Turkish Akit.

"Most of the preparatory work is already underway, and it is expected that the factory will be electrified in July," the publication writes, citing the words of the company's CEO Haluk Bayraktar.

According to the publication, the stimulus for the project was the signing of a framework agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Turkey on cooperation in the aerospace sector in February 2022.

The agreement, which aims to encourage direct investments in the relevant sector and to create favourable conditions for technology transfer and use of production, provides for special tax and customs incentives for Turkish investors in the aerospace sector of Ukraine until January 2035.

Background. Mind had earlier reported that Ukraine had signed three new agreements with the manufacturer of Bayraktars.
