The number of Americans who support providing weapons to Ukraine has increased by 20% – Reuters poll
These results will influence the leaders of the Republican Party in Congress and the Senate, who will be able to more actively support such actions
Support for providing Ukraine with weapons is growing among Americans. While in May 2023, only 46% of US citizens assessed such actions positively, this number has now increased to 65%.

The transfer of weapons to Ukraine was supported by 81% of Democrats, 56% of Republicans and 57% of independent voters. It is noted that the survey was conducted two days after the mutiny of Yevhen Prigozhin and the Wagner PMC.
Thus, according to Reuters, this poll demonstrates strong support for US President Joe Biden's decision to "do whatever it takes" to win Ukraine and return all its territories. According to former US Ambassador to Ukraine William Taylor, these results will also influence Republican Party leaders in Congress and the Senate, who will be able to more actively support such actions.
The survey was conducted among a sample of 1,004 American adults. Of these, 400 identified themselves as Democrats and 383 as Republicans.
According to it, 76% of the country's citizens believe that the United States' assistance to Ukraine shows "the will and ability to defend our interests, allies, and ourselves" against China and other US rivals.
The White House has approved 41 military aid packages for the Ukrainian Armed Forces worth about $40 billion.
The allocation of another $500 million package was announced on June 27. It will primarily include heavy armored vehicles, missiles for air defense systems, and weapons for breaking through minefields.
