Government approves experimental project for the restoration of the Kakhovka HPP – Shmyhal
The project implementation period is 2 years

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal for the implementation of an experimental project for the restoration of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. It is noted that the designated implementation period is 2 years.
This was announced by Ukraine's Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal.
He specifies that the first stage will involve the design of all engineering structures and the preparation of the necessary base for restoration. Shmyhal adds that the second stage is the construction work, but it will begin after the de-occupation of the hydroelectric station's territory.
It is noted that the project coordinator is the Ministry of Economy, and the state enterprise Ukrhydroenergo is the client for the work.
Background. Mind earlier reported that Ukraine had suffered at least $2 billion in losses due to the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP by occupants.
