Zelensky calls on the head of government to dismiss Tkachenko as Minister of Culture
He also responded to a question about the expediency of using public funds by local authorities

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal that Oleksandr Tkachenko, Head of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, be dismissed from his post.
"I asked the Prime Minister to consider replacing the Minister of Culture and Information Policy," Zelensky wrote on social media.
He also responded to a question about the appropriateness of using public funds by local authorities for certain infrastructure projects that had been criticized by the public.
"I would like to address all local authorities in our country: people should feel that budget resources are used fairly and correctly. Everyone understands what we are talking about. Paving stones, city decorations, fountains can wait – victory comes first," the President emphasized.
Background. Meanwhile, Mind reported that with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, at least 370 million UAH will be allocated from the state budget for the filming of 53 series, mostly of an entertainment nature. The casting director claims that most of them will be made by the same producers who previously made low-quality russian-language series "for two markets."
