The Ukrainian Armed Forces inflicted strikes on oil and ammunition depots in Crimea.
Source. The Centre for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the destruction of these sites, publishing a video of the operation's aftermath.
Sergey Aksionov, a representative of the occupying authority in Crimea, confirmed that an explosion had occurred at the ammunition depot in Crimea due to a strike by a Ukrainian drone. It was decided to evacuate the population within a 5km radius of the event to temporary housing centres. In addition, traffic on the Crimean railway was temporarily halted to minimise risks.
At the time of the attack on the oil and ammunition depots, a decommissioned military airfield was present in Oktiabrske.
The Crimean partisan movement Atesh earlier reported that the russian Armed Forces were amassing military equipment at this airfield, including infantry fighting vehicles, KamAZ trucks, and Tiger armoured vehicles.
Another representative of the occupying administration in Crimea, Oleh Kriuchkov, called on witnesses to provide the FSB with information about people who were filming the aftermath of the attack.
On July 19, a fire broke out near the Kirov district of Crimea, resulting in the evacuation of residents from four neighbouring villages and the temporary closure of the Tavrida Highway.
