russia has attacked the Danube ports in Odessa Oblast.
This was reported during a briefing in the Media Center Ukraine – Odesa by Natalia Gumenyuk, spokesperson of the Operational Command South, Suspilne reports.
According to Oleh Kiper, Head of the Oblast Military Administration, as a result of the attacks on port and industrial infrastructure facilities in the region, fires broke out and a grain elevator was damaged. No people were injured.
Humeniuk assumes that the attack could have been provoked by the spread of information about a 'breakthrough of the russian blockade' in the Black Sea.
"Such attention, the use of information in hybrid warfare, leads to an escalation of aggression. We have to be very careful here," stressed the spokeswoman.
She added that there was no breakthrough of the blockade since the vessels were following a recommended course, using the territorial waters of other countries and beyond the boundaries of the area declared closed.
Background. Mind previously reported that 3 foreign vessels had already bypassed the russian blockade in the Black Sea. The ships arrived for grain loading in Izmail.
