Almost 1,100 children sustained injuries of varying severity

According to the prosecutor's office, 500 children have died, with over a thousand more injured since russia's full-scale attack on Ukraine.
This was mentioned in a statement from the office of the Attorney General.
"More than 1,597 children in Ukraine have been affected due to russia's large-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of 13 August 2023, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 500 children have died and over 1,097 have sustained injuries of varying degrees," the Attorney General's office stated.
It is noted that these figures are not final. "Work is ongoing to establish the numbers in areas of combat, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the department clarified.
Most of the children affected are from Donetsk Oblast – 485, Kharkiv Oblast – 298, Kyiv Oblast – 129, Kherson Oblast – 118, Zaporizhzhia Oblast – 99, Mykolaiv Oblast – 97, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast – 94, Chernihiv Oblast – 71, Luhansk Oblast – 67, as specified by the Attorney General's office.
