Defenders liberated 3 sq. km in the Bakhmut direction over the past week – Maliar
According to her, a total of 40 sq. km has been freed on the southern flank of the mentioned direction

Last week, defence forces managed to liberate 3 sq. km of territory in the Bakhmut direction. It is noted that since the beginning of the counter-offensive, 40 sq. km have been freed on the southern flank of this direction, as reported by Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar.
"This week, the enemy tried to reclaim lost positions in areas west of Klishchivka, Andriivka, and Kurdiumivka," emphasised Maliar.
In addition, the deputy added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were successful in Urozhayne on the southern front in Donetsk Oblast. They have had "certain successes" south and south-east of Staromayorsk and are securing specific sectors. Ukrainian defenders are also advancing on the Melitopol and Berdiansk fronts.
According to her, Ukrainian troops have accomplished missions on the left bank of the Dnieper in Kherson Oblast. She stressed the need to push back the enemy and cleanse the territory to secure their hold on that area.
"Certain tasks were carried out by specific units. Of course, we can't disclose exactly what was done, but they managed these tasks," she said.
