Ukrgasvydobuvannya has launched two wells with a combined output of over 430,000 cubic metres of gas per day
The first of the wells is exploratory, with a depth of 5,850 metres. The deposit on which it was drilled was discovered 40 years ago

The company Ukrgasvydobuvannya (part of Naftogaz of Ukraine) has launched two wells with a combined output of over 430,000 cubic metres of gas per day.
This is mentioned in a statement by Naftogaz.
It is clarified that the second well was drilled in a 55-year-old deposit. "Due to significant depletion, the volume of production in this deposit had been decreasing quite rapidly in recent years. However, this negative trend has been halted thanks to a programme of additional drilling and the introduction of 7 new operational wells over the past year," the company specified.
Both wells were put into operation in-house: the drilling was carried out by the UkrBurGas subsidiary, and the multi-stage hydraulic fracturing operation was handled by specialists of UGV-Service.
Background. As reported by Mind, in 2023 Naftogaz plans to increase its gas production by 8%.
