Biden at the UN: The only one standing in the way of peace in Ukraine is Russia
He said that the US will continue to support "the brave people of Ukraine who are defending their sovereignty"

Speaking at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday, U.S. President Joe Biden said that the only obstacle to peace in Ukraine is Russia's actions and position.
"Russia thinks that the world will get tired and allow it to abuse Ukraine with impunity. But I ask you: if we abandon the basic principles of the UN in order to pacify the aggressor, will any member state of this organization be able to feel safe after that? If we allow Ukraine to be dismembered, will the independence of any other nation be guaranteed?" the US President said.
"We strongly support Ukraine's desire to reach a diplomatic solution that would bring a just and lasting peace. Russia, and only Russia, is responsible for this war. Only Russia can end this war immediately. And only Russia is blocking the path to peace. Because the price of peace demanded by Russia is the capitulation of Ukraine, the seizure of Ukrainian territories and Ukrainian children," Biden emphasized.
He assured that the United States will continue to support Ukraine in its struggle.
"We must stand against this blatant aggression today to prevent new aggressions tomorrow. That's why the United States, along with our allies and partners around the world, stand with the brave people of Ukraine as they defend their sovereignty, territorial integrity and freedom," the President said.
According to him, this is an investment not only in the future of Ukraine, but also in the future of every country that seeks peace, which is "based on basic rules that apply equally to all nations and support the rights of every nation, no matter how big or small."
As reported, the 78th session of the UN General Assembly is taking place in New York. On September 19-23 and 26, world leaders will gather to take part in the annual high-level general debate.
