Fedorov announces launch of Backfire drone, resistant to Russian electronic warfare, into mass production
The UAV flies up to 35 km behind enemy lines and helps to destroy Russian artillery and other targets

Ukraine's Backfire, a Russian electronic warfare resistant attack drone, "has passed the Defense Ministry's commission and is awaiting an order to be allowed to operate."
Source. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
"The Bird has already passed the Defense Ministry's commission and is awaiting an order to allow it to be put into operation. This means that the state will officially be able to purchase these drones. The team of creators is already preparing for mass production of the UAV," Fedorov wrote on his Telegram channel on Monday.
According to Fedorov, Backfire is showing good results at the front: "Over the past two months, the military has carried out at least 50 successful missions. The developers are cooperating with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 'Angry Birds' unit, which is helping to improve the UAV."
Backfire is an attack drone from Ukrainian developers who are part of the Brave1 defense cluster, the Deputy Prime Minister said. The UAV flies up to 35 kilometers behind enemy lines and helps to hit Russian artillery, logistics hubs, enemy warehouses and command posts.
"Thanks to its GPS antenna, which is almost impossible to jam, the drone is very resistant to enemy electronic warfare. Also, due to the drone's complete autonomy, the Russians cannot calculate its coordinates and ground command. This protects the operators," emphasized Fedorov.
"We continue to increase the number of drones at the front. If you also have developments that will help the Defense Forces, apply through the Brave1 platform," emphasized Fedorov.
Background. Earlier it was reported that Ukraine is launching mass production of the Ratel S kamikaze combat robot.
