US announces new military aid package for Ukraine worth $175 million
This may be one of the last aid packages if Congress does not approve new funding

The United States has announced that it will provide a new $175 million military aid package to Ukraine.
The new package will include missiles for air defense systems and HIMARS systems, armor-piercing shells, and small arms ammunition, according to the White House website.
In addition, Ukraine will be supplied with spare parts for military equipment and gear, and the United States will help with equipment maintenance and training for Ukrainian soldiers.
"If Congress does not act to approve the President's request for additional national security funding, this will be one of the last defense assistance packages we can provide to Ukraine," the White House said in a statement.
Joe Biden once again appealed to the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, urging them to unblock the allocation of funds.
"If Putin takes over Ukraine, he will not stop there," the US president warned. According to him, in this case, the Russian president will attack the US allies in NATO and "then what we don't want to happen is that American troops will engage Russian troops."
Background. As a reminder, Biden emphasized that congressmen would give Russia the "biggest gift" if they did not approve aid to Ukraine.
