Biden Jr. charged with tax evasion of $1.4 million

The son of US President Joe Biden has been charged with nine counts of tax evasion.

Source. This was reported by the Associated Press.

The investigation believes that Hunter Biden concealed at least $1.4 million from the state between 2016 and 2019.

The charges will be considered by the District Court of the Central District of California.

The new charges include three felonies and six misdemeanors. It is alleged that instead of paying taxes, Biden Jr. spent millions on "an extravagant lifestyle, including membership in sex clubs and allocating more than $188,000 for adult entertainment."

"In short, on everything but his taxes," AP quoted prosecutor Leo Weiss as saying.

If convicted, 53-year-old Biden faces up to 17 years in prison.

Hunter Biden is already under investigation for tax evasion. At first, he pleaded guilty, but then withdrew his plea.

In addition, in September of this year, prosecutors charged him with buying a Colt Cobra 38SPL revolver with forged documents, concealing information about these documents, and being addicted to drugs.
