German, American, British and other Western companies supply military goods to Russia - investigation
For procurement, shell companies are used - mostly legal entities from China
The German company Rohde & Schwarz GmbH, headquartered in Munich, supplies the Russian company PT Elektronik with unique spectrum analyzers for the latest Leer-3 electronic warfare system, without which it is likely impossible to assemble it.
Documents for the purchase of the parts are published by InformNapalm and the Cyber Resistance hacker group in their new investigation. One of the orders for 400 thousand euros is dated March 9, 2023. The delivery time is 14-16 weeks.
Electronik LLC is the official supplier for St. Petersburg-based STC LLC, which manufactures the Leer-3 and Orlan-10 UAVs. InformNapalm also publishes photos of the Leer-3 complex located on the territory of STC LLC.
Another supplier, Radioline LLC, purchases electronic components, measuring and laboratory equipment worth millions of dollars from various foreign manufacturers, including the American Keysight, the aforementioned Rhode & Schwarz, Chinese Ceyear, and others (for example, an order from Chinese Ceyear worth 700 thousand euros).
It has long been known that China is the main supplier of components for Russian military equipment.
However, in addition to China, STC LLC purchases devices, parts and equipment from the United States, Germany, Spain, Austria, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, etc.
For procurement, the company uses shell companies – mostly legal entities from China, but the documents also show Turkey, Serbia, the UAE and other countries.
The cost of the Leer-3 complex is about $5 million. During the full-scale invasion, Ukraine destroyed (officially documented) 2 Leer-3s, 6 Leer-2s, 176 Orlan-10 UAVs, 17 Orlan-20 Cartographer UAVs, and 7 Orlan-30 UAVs.
Background. As a reminder, at a meeting with his French counterpart, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the missiles fired at Ukrainians' heads contain Western-made components.
