President's Office announces 100 for 100 exchange of prisoners
Many of them are defenders of Mariupol

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on social media that 100 Ukrainians have been returned from Russian captivity:
"Another 100 Ukrainians at home, in Ukraine. The National Guard, border guards, the Armed Forces. Most of them are defenders of Mariupol," he wrote.
Zelenskyy did not write anything about the conditions of their return, although he thanked the team involved in the exchanges.
About an hour ago, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that 100 Russian prisoners of war had been exchanged for 100 Ukrainian prisoners of war. Formally, border guards and the National Guard are not part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Background. As a reminder, on 31 January, 207 captured Ukrainian soldiers were returned to Ukraine. These were soldiers of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service, and the National Police.
