NATO countries pledge to supply one million drones to Ukraine

NATO member states will provide Ukraine with one million drones. This decision was made following two days of negotiations – first in the Ramstein format and then in the format of the NATO-Ukraine Council, according to a correspondent of Yevropeiska Pravda in Brussels.

"Over the past few days, we have seen new commitments from the allies to help Ukraine," NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.

Earlier, it was reported that a "drone coalition" had been set up, to be led by the UK and Latvia. The supply of one million drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be the first agreement of this coalition.

Stoltenberg stressed that the Alliance is almost an exclusive provider of military assistance to Ukraine.

"Together, NATO Allies provide more than 99% of military assistance," he said, emphasising that European countries, not the United States, are taking the lead in supplying drones to Ukraine.

Background. Also today, it became known that the UK will order thousands of FPV drones for Ukraine, including drones from British manufacturers.
