The Kyiv-based company "Woodsystems" has patented a kitchen disinfection technology
This is not the company's first invention. Overall, "Woodsystems" has registered around ten patents for various kitchen and furniture inventions and gadgets
"Woodsystems," a company specializing in custom furniture manufacturing, has developed a unique technology unparalleled in Ukraine. The invention is designed for the sterilization of waste disposal areas in kitchens.
Production technologists have devised a system wherein a quartz lamp is integrated into the waste sorting area and is activated for a few seconds after each use. To enhance the effectiveness and safety of the invention, engineers have established specific installation and device usage standards.
Foremost, the irradiation, facilitated by special mechanisms within the lamp, is entirely safe for the eyes. Additionally, the lamp is programmed to operate for no more than 15 seconds, and the compartment in which it is installed is fully lined with food-grade stainless steel. These measures ensure that waste does not decay, emit odors, or cause discomfort to the occupants of the apartment or house.
"We patent inventions to demonstrate that kitchens can be technological, not just aesthetically pleasing. No one else in the Ukrainian market, except us, develops products with an emphasis on intelligence and practicality. Everyone makes cool furniture, but we want to create kitchen gadgets. We seek what else to integrate, what technology will be useful," says PR director Kateryna. "In this case, our goal was to create a method of harmless and effective waste disinfection because the kitchen is the heart of the apartment. Everything here should be neat, functional, and safe for homeowners and their children."
