Zelensky: "Ukraine will lose the war if the US Congress does not provide assistance"
Voting in the House of Representatives will not take place at least until mid-April

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that Kyiv will lose the war if the US Congress does not provide Ukraine with military assistance.
"If the Congress does not help Ukraine, Ukraine will lose the war," the President said on CNN.
According to him, if Kyiv loses the war, other countries will be at risk.
Last week, Bloomberg cited sources in the Republican Party as saying that the US House of Representatives would not vote on aid to Ukraine until at least mid-April.
On 1 April, Johnson said in an interview with Fox News that he would put forward new conditions for providing aid to Ukraine. These could include a loan with a repayment obligation, confiscation of Russian assets, and cancellation of the White House's decision to freeze the issuance of new liquefied natural gas (LNG) export licences.
Johnson also said that he was going to hold the vote "immediately" after the lawmakers return from their Easter recess, which is due to end on 9 April. In turn, his spokesman, Taylor Houlsey, said that this promise was not intended to set a specific timeframe and that the speaker was still "listening to the views of party members".
The US has been unable to agree on a new aid package for Ukraine since last autumn. On 13 February, the Democrat-controlled Senate approved a bill that would have provided Kyiv with $60bn, but Johnson refused to bring it to the floor, demanding that Democrats first support reforms to US migration policy.
The Republican Speaker's team also began to develop its own project to help Ukraine. It provides for military aid to Kyiv in the form of loans. The loans may be secured by frozen Russian assets.
Background. According to CNN, if Congresswoman Taylor Greene disrupts aid to Ukraine, it will turn the situation into a dangerous one. She is blackmailing Speaker Mike Johnson with removal from office if he puts the bill to a vote.
