The Estonian authorities intend to appeal to the European Union and NATO over Russia's alleged jamming of the GPS satellite navigation system.

"This deliberate action, which destroys our lives, puts people's lives at risk and can be considered a hybrid attack," said Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tahkna.
He also discussed the issue with his colleagues from Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden. The minister described the situation as "a very dangerous issue".
Earlier, the authorities in Poland and Sweden warned pilots and ship captains about GPS problems in the region.
The day before, Finland's largest airline, Finnair, suspended flights to Tartu for a month due to problems with the GPS system. Last week, two flights were forced to return to Helsinki due to obstacles on the approach to Tartu.
Earlier, The Financial Times wrote that the foreign ministers of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania accused Russia of suppressing the GPS satellite navigation system in the Baltic Sea region. In this regard, they warned of a growing threat of aviation accidents in the region.
