Consultations and support with weapons: The EU has agreed on security guarantees for Ukraine

The European Union has agreed on security guarantees for Ukraine, which provide political, military and economic assistance to Kyiv against the backdrop of Russia's armed aggression.

According to the publication, the draft agreement is currently being agreed with the European External Action Service and the government in Kyiv.
The document is due to enter into force in early July and will remain in force until Ukraine joins the EU and NATO.
According to the draft agreement, the EU guarantees Kyiv immediate consultations in the event of new attacks on Ukraine, if such consultations have been approved in advance by both sides.
At the same time, the participation of European soldiers on the side of the Ukrainian army in the event of new attacks on Ukraine is indirectly excluded.
At the same time, Brussels promises Kyiv further supplies of lethal and non-lethal weapons, training for soldiers, assistance in reforming security forces, demining, and cooperation in countering hybrid threats and cyberattacks.
The EU is also committed to providing large-scale support to Ukraine in rebuilding its infrastructure.
