French President Emmanuel Macron will attend the Peace Summit in Switzerland to discuss Ukraine's plan to end the war, the Elysee Palace has announced.
According to AFP, the Macron administration said in a statement that France not only intends to provide military assistance to Ukraine ‘in the long term’ but also ‘provide political and diplomatic support’.
The Global Peace Summit, organised by Ukraine, will be held in Switzerland on 15-16 June, with more than 100 countries expected to attend.
Earlier, it was reported that Vice President Kamala Harris and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will represent the United States at the Summit.
According to US media reports, US President Joe Biden will participate in a fundraising event for his election campaign in California during the summit. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Biden's decision not to go to Switzerland ‘not very strong’.
