"Our strength is in partnership": philanthropist Oleg Krot named the factors that will contribute to the end of the war, the development and accession of Ukraine to the EU

In conditions of war and on the way to joining the European Union, the development of partnership and the formation of Ukraine as a strong ally are of particular importance.

Partnership, both at the domestic and international levels, is a key element for strengthening the country. The first days of full-scale invasion and the subsequent course of the war showed that the interaction between the government, civil society and international partners is crucial for the protection of our independence and sovereignty.

Thanks to the partnership, our state received financial support, necessary weapons, publicity of events around Ukraine on the world stage. And Ukrainians were able to get first a safe haven in the partner countries, and then payments, humanitarian aid and work.

The support we receive from our allies helps us not only in the military sphere, but also in matters of humanitarian assistance, economic recovery and reform of state institutions.

"In the current challenges facing Ukraine, the issue of partnership development and the formation of our state as a strong ally is of particular importance. I am deeply convinced of the importance of cooperation and support for national initiatives aimed at strengthening our country," said philanthropist and businessman Oleg Krot.

On the way to joining the EU, partnership with European countries is especially important. In June 2022, Ukraine received EU candidate status. The admission process may take several years.

The exact date of Ukraine's accession to the EU depends on the speed and success of reforms, the political will of the EU member states and the overall situation in the region. For example, countries that joined the EU in 2004 worked to meet the conditions within 5-10 years.

European integration opens up new opportunities for Ukraine's development, access to markets, investments and technologies. But for this we must continue to work on reforms that meet European standards. This requires close cooperation between all branches of government, business and civil society, as well as the implementation of all reforms and the necessary conditions that international partners expect from us.

Investments in education, science and culture, as well as support for social initiatives are key factors for building a successful and competitive state," the philanthropist adds.
