Details. In response to the war, which the Russian Federation unleashed against Ukraine, the majority of the countries of the world, even traditionally neutral like Switzerland, South Korea, and Singapore, imposed sanctions on the aggressor state to deliver a mighty blow to the Russian economy.
The Committee on Economic Development Issues urges the governments of the countries of the European Union to expand economic sanctions against Russia, cut all trade and economic relations with the Russian counterparts, and cease land freight transportation between the countries of the European Union and Russia completely.
Moreover, the Committee expresses gratitude and welcomes the decision made by several large logistics companies to stop freight delivery to Russia using on-ground means of transport.
