The European Union haven't agree on the russian energy embargo yet – Borrell
The final decision is expected not earlier than the end of May

What happened? The member states of the European Union have not made a joint decision on a full embargo or increasing of tariffs on import of russian oil and gas.
Source. This was stated by European Foreign Minister Josep Borrell, reports Die Welt.
Quote. “Stopping oil and gas imports or a punitive tariff would be important to put pressure on putin and put him at the negotiating table. But at the current moment we in the EU do not have a single position on this issue,” Borrell said.
This topic is planned to be discussed at the next EU summit at the end of May. Earlier, a decision on this issue can not be expected, according to Borrell.
He says all EU countries are working to reduce their dependence on russian oil and gas. Borrell believes that the bloc will eventually be able to reduce its dependence.
“At some point, this will happen, and then russia will feel painfully that revenues from the oil and gas business are lost,” he added.
