The Verkhovna Rada exempts generators and Starlink from customs duty and VAT
In addition, it was allowed to store up to 2 tonnes of fuel without a licence

What happened? The Verkhovna Rada supported in the second reading the draft bills on amendments to the Tax and Customs Codes to promote the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Details. Short-term tax and customs benefits are introduced for both businesses and individuals to restore energy infrastructure, namely the exemption of generators, other equipment and Starlink from customs duties and VAT.
This norm also applies to international assistance from the Energy Community organisation. In addition, an amendment to extend such terms for postal and express shipments was adopted in the second reading.
The bill also allows businesses to store up to 2000 litres of fuel for generators without the need to obtain a licence. When storing larger volumes, it is necessary to notify the State Tax Service. This can be done in the form of a declaration and submitted in any way convenient for the entrepreneur, said the MP.
