Ukraine to organise the first e-auctions for amber on Prozorro on February 27
The starting price of the lots is 13 million UAH
What happened? The State Depository of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of Ukraine is to hold the first amber auctions on the Prozorro platform on February 27.

Details. It is specified that a total of 17 lots are put up for auction.
The starting price of the cheapest lot is 3000 UAH, the most expensive – more than 3 million UAH. Bidding will be held to increase the price. Potential bidders can participate in the auction from any platform accredited in the Prozorro.Sale system.
Experts estimate the amber market of Ukraine at about $300 million.
In 2019, a law came into force that criminalised the illegal extraction, sale, storage, and processing of amber, legalising the market.
