UkrGasVydobuvannia has drilled a well at a depleted field with a record flow rate of 460 tcm per day – Naftogaz
It is stated that it has the highest production rates among the wells that the company has put into operation over the past 2.5 years
UkrGasVydobuvannia has drilled an exploration well that discovered a new oil and gas deposit in an already depleted field.
This is said in a statement of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
"This is one of the powerful wells that UkrGasVydobuvannia launched in March this year. Its daily flow rate has reached more than 460 thousand cubic metres of gas. It has the highest production rates among the wells commissioned by the company over the past 2.5 years. This is an important achievement for us," the statement quoted Naftogaz CEO Oleksiy Chernyshev as saying.
It is noted that this was made possible thanks to modern approaches to the processing of geological information, in particular 3D seismic data.
It is not disclosed where the new well was drilled.
Previously. As reported by Mind, in March 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannia launched two wells with a daily flow rate of 300-400 thousand cubic metres.
