German Vice Chancellor visits Ukraine with business delegation
Business delegation will give Ukraine hope for recovery after the war, Habeck said
Vice Chancellor, Minister of Economy and Climate Protection of Germany Robert Habeck visited Kyiv. Preparations for the visit were kept secret for security reasons.

The politician arrived in the capital of Ukraine by train together with representatives of German business circles. Including the head of the German Industrial Union Siegfried Ruswurm. On the way, Habeck held talks with businessmen in a conference car.
This is the first visit of the German Vice Chancellor to Ukraine since the beginning of the war. According to Habeck, he had not been there before because he did not want to come empty-handed.
This time he brought "a business delegation that will give Ukraine hope for recovery after the war."
"We believe that Ukraine will win and be restored," Habek said upon arrival. According to him, it is in Europe's interest "not only to support Ukraine in its time of need, but also to ensure that it becomes an economically strong partner in the future."
The German Vice Chancellor and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the settlements of Chernihiv region liberated from Russian occupation.
In particular, during their visit to Chernihiv, Zelensky and Habeck familiarized themselves with the progress of restoration work on the bridge over the Desna River (Kyiv Bridge) and the presentation of the project to rebuild other bridge crossings in Chernihiv Oblast.
The bridge was destroyed on March 23, 2022, as a result of a Russian air strike.
The German side was invited to consider the possibility of financial support for the restoration of the bridge infrastructure in the region.
The President of Ukraine welcomed the readiness of representatives of German business circles and German enterprises to join the restoration of our country. He emphasized the importance of confirming the German side's risk insurance for businesses that are ready to invest in Ukraine right now.
