The European Union is preparing to send Ukraine a million shells
The decision may be approved next Thursday

The European Union may send one million artillery shells to Ukraine if the plans are approved at the upcoming summit. A draft decision on the supply was published by the German newspaper Handelsblatt.

The European Council will consider this supply plan at the EU summit to be held next week on Thursday.
The draft resolution calls on countries to immediately provide ammunition to Ukraine, including through joint procurement.
However, the wording of the resolution may still change before the summit on Thursday, Handelsblatt reports.
Background. As a reminder, Germany has recently allocated another package of military aid to Ukraine, which includes 5,000 155 mm artillery shells.
The Estonian government has also approved a new military aid package for Ukraine worth almost 500,000 euros.
